In the precision-driven automotive steering sector, rack end inner ball pin manufacturing requires uncompromising accuracy, consistency, and volume capability. LANBI is proud to introduce a fully automated machining system designed to exceed these demands.

Our new integrated manufacturing cell features two double lathes that process ball pins from blank. The system enables simultaneous operation: four turning units perform ball roughing, neck roughing and finishing, and undercut grooving in a highly synchronized workflow.

Each unit includes XZ numeric slides and servo-controlled tailstocks. A central robotic handler automates part loading, transfer, and unloading, avoiding human intervention and maximizing the output. This significantly boosts OEE and ensures continuous production.

Integrated quality control is achieved using a high-precision Keyence optical micrometer for real-time, non-contact dimensional verification and instant correction of deviations.

The system offers exceptional flexibility, accommodating a wide range of ball pins without major retooling:

  • Ball diameter: 20–40 mm
  • Rod length: 150–400 mm

Is your production line ready for this level of automation? Let’s connect to discuss how LANBI’s tailored solutions can optimize your specific processes.
